  • Unfortunately our partners, the Royal Association for Deaf People, were unable to find any BSL interpreters who would be available for the conference days, as we had initially planned.

    We are still filming all of the sessions at the event, with a view to getting these uploaded post event transcribed and interpreted.

  • Yes - keep an eye out for an email from Ticket Tailor that you should bring with you on the day.

    Bring a lanyard from home for your conference badge and your own reusable water bottle.

    Breakfast, a hot plant based lunch and drinks are provided.

  • The event is being organised and funded by betternotstop, the sustainable impact agency that runs the Better Business Network.

  • The event is taking place at Manchester Met University Business School, Oxford Road, Manchester M15 6BH. Visitor Information, including how to get to the business school and surrounding facilities, can be found here: Visitor Info Page

  • WALKING: Manchester city centre is easily accessible from the campus

    BIKE: There are many cycle parking spaces around the University campuses that are suitable for visitors. Please make sure you securely lock your bike to a stand

    TRAIN: Manchester Oxford Road Railway Station is close by. The Business School area of the Manchester campus is just a five minute walk from Oxford Road Station. There are regular regional trains from Oxford Road and the station is operated by Northern Rail

    Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station is connected to local, regional and national rail services and via the West Coast Mainline. You can walk to our campus in 15-20 minutes from Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, take the 147 bus to Oxford Road. The 147 bus runs every 10-15 minutes throughout the working day

    Deansgate Railway Station is the closest station and provides access to local rail services on the Manchester-Liverpool route

    Manchester Victoria Railway Station is on the northern side of the city centre. You can walk to Manchester Victoria in 25-30 minutes, or cycle in 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the free Metroshuttle Service 2 (Green Line) from Victoria Station Approach (Stop Ny) and disembark at Whitworth Street. The Metroshuttle services run every 10 minutes during the day

    CAR: There are limited car parking facilities at the Manchester Campus. Whenever possible, please use sustainable travel such as public transport, walking or cycling to access our campus. Visitor car parking is NOT available. There are parking facilities nearby: Car Parks within walkable distance of Manchester campus

    Anyone wishing to park overnight should use publicly available multi-storey car parking facilities in the area. View map of public car parks in Manchester and Salford

  • There is a variety of accommodations in Manchester ranging from self-catering, B&B, hotel and motel style.

    All accommodation is booked at the individual participants’ own risk.

  • We wanted to create an affordable ticket price for a full day of panel sessions, roundtable discussions and educational workshop sessions. The event has been created not as a profit driver or high-income additional revenue stream, but to simply fund the event and ensure everyone who works on it gets paid fairly.

    We wanted to include in the budget ensuring all Speakers, Suppliers and Staff receive a fair wage and we also have enough budget to ensure we reach excellent standards for accessibility and experience.

    The event runs for over three days, but you can buy individual day tickets also.

    All employees will be getting paid the real living wage (£10.90ph) or more.

    Please get in contact if you would like to attend but cannot afford, as we have a limited number of free places available for those on low-income.

  • Depending on your ticket type and what days you attend tickets include different deliverables. Tickets to the Conference Days on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th January 2024 include:

    - Breakfast Networking (Breakfast Provided on Thursday)

    - Access to all panel sessions, workshops and catalyst conversations capacity dependent

    - Access to the Exhibition Zone

    - Free refreshments of tea, coffee and water throughout the day

    - Vegan Hot Fork Buffet Lunch Provided

    - Lunchtime Networking

    - Evening Drinks Reception on Thursday

  • The full schedule is yet to be revealed for 2024, but keep an eye on our socials for announcements.

  • Breakfast will be provided at our Breakfast Networking session.

    There will be a tea and coffee station set up for you to have access to throughout the day, as well as a water station.

    Lunch will be a Vegan Hot Fork Buffet Menu. If you have any further dietary requirements please within your order notes or let us know in advance via email.

  • In 2023 the Main stage event was recorded.

    These will be edited and subtitled and transcriptions will be added shortly.

    This will then be available for free to anyone on low income. It will also be available to anyone else to access with a suggested charitable donation to 1% For the Planet.

  • There is an option to put a note in your order when you book, but you can also email us to request any accessibility support.

    You can request a free ticket for a personal assistant or carer in our booking system and add any special requests

    We will have a quiet room at the venue to be used freely.

    We will have an Accessibility Manager on the day as a point of contact
